Tomorrow is National Libraries Day!

Come and help us celebrate National Libraries Day on Saturday 8th February. We’ll be open as usual 10-3 and there’s lots to see and do…

Our current exhibition focuses on the work of Gwyn Pritchard, Trinity Laban composition professor and co-director of the London Ear Festival. There are scores, programmes and photos galore.

In the small display case in the library there is a rare first edition of Haydn’s vocal work Der Sturm (published in Leipzig in 1802), part of our Alfred Kitchin collection (catalogue record here).

Plus, all our collections are available for reference to non-members including our HUGE collection of CDs, videos and LPs – all of which can be played on dedicated listening equipment within the library.

So why not come in out of the rain, listen to some great music, and marvel at our lovely collections. Everyone’s welcome – non-members please just sign in at reception first.
